More forces reach Midnapore to check Maoists activities

In West Bengal, Six more company of Central Para-military Forces today reached West Midnapore District with a mandate to prevent Maoists activities. The State Chief Minister, Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee is scheduled to tour the region for two days from the 7th of this month. <br/>Meanwhile, the State Governor, Mr. Gopal Krishna Gandhi has sought for a report on the situation in the Maoists affected Districts of Bankura, Purulia and West Midnapore, from the State Government. The Home Secretary, Mr. Ardhendu Sen today met the Governor and apprised him of the situation in the Maoists infested areas. Apart from this, the Governor was also apprised of the situation in Arambag in Hooghly District and the recent political skirmishes in different parts of the State. <br/>
