More central observers in Andhra for bye election

In Andhra Pradesh, the Election Commission has appointed two more central observers for Kadapa Lok Sabha bye election. This is in addition to the six central observers already appointed for the bye elections being held for Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly segments on the 8th of next month. State Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal told reporters last evening in Hyderabad that this is the first time the Commission has appointed the highest number of central observers in a Parliamentary Constituency. He said keeping in view the recent seizure of huge amount of unaccounted cash to the tune of 1.73 crore rupees and the constituency history, the Election Commission has taken this decision. The Bye election is being held for both the constituencies following resignation by the sitting members
