The Punjab government has ordered an enquiry into the circumstances that led to death to a college-going girl in Jalandhar. The Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal has asked IGP, Jalandhar Zone, Gurpreet Deo to conduct the enquiry. She has been asked to submit her report within three days. After preliminary inquiry, a police Inspector has been put under suspension. Our correspondent adds that moral policing by Jalandhar commissionerate police claimed the life of the girl after she committed suicide. The girl was humilated as she was taken out by overzealous cops out of her car in which she was travelling with her friend in the presence of the media.
