Moon reiterates importance of cease-fire to solve Libyan crisis

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon today reiterated the importance of a cease-fire to solve the Libyan crisis and ensuring the rights of the Libyan people. At a press conference held in Cairo, the UN Chief said he has been urging Libyan authorities to stop fighting and allow humanitarian assistance.He said Col. Gaddafi has lost his legitimacy completely. He said killing his own people is totally unacceptable and it is the violation of human rights and international humanitarian law. Ban Ki-Moon also stressed the challenges for the political dialogue and post-conflict reconstruction of Libya.
