Jharkhand will provide monthly pensions to those political activists who suffered imprisonments for taking part in creation of separate state of Jharkhand and Jai Prakash Narain movements against Central Emergency rule. State government will also provide jobs to the family members of those activists who lost their lives.This was announced on Friday in the state Legislative Assembly by the Chief Minister Arjun Munda after some Members of ruling parties- JMM, AJSU and later the BJP, forced repeated adjournments on this.Declaring in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said that apart from giving one job to the family members of such activists who had sacrificed their lives, the government will provide life long pension of Five thousands rupees per month to those who have suffered imprisonments of more than six months, while those imprisoned for less than six months will get monthly pensions of three thousand rupees.Mr. Munda informed the Assembly that the scheme is already being worked upon.
