In Monte Carlo Masters Tennis, fifth seed Rafael Nadal defeated world number two Andy Murray to reach the Final for the first time since 2013. Murray dominated on his serve throughout the first set, but the Spanish broke Murray at the start of the second set to regain momentum. Nadal found his serving range in the decider and eventually clinched victory on his fifth match point, with the score 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.In the Final, Nadal will meet 13th seed Frenchman Gael Monfils. In the other semi-final, Monfils defeated higher placed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 6-1, 6-3.
