Monsoon takes a break in Mumbai

Monsoon rainfall has taken a break in Mumbai since Monday morning after a pleasant Sunday. Monsoon arrived in the city on Sunday after a delay of one week. According to the weather bureau, occasional rain would occur in parts of city and suburbs during next 24 hours.Meanwhile, landslides triggered by rain blocked rail traffic between Adavali and Rajapur stations in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra Monday morning. AIR Correspondent from Ratnagiri reports that the tracks were blocked between 2.30 am to 8.30 am. The tracks were later cleared and services on the Konkan Railway route have now resumed. However, trains are running at slow speed. The district has been experiencing heavy rainfall since Sunday.
