In UP, the monsoon has slowed down in the eastern region as there was scanty rainfall in the area during the past 24 hours. The day’s temperature has also increased by around 5 degrees in the area. However, there is a haze in the atmosphere in Allahabad, Lucknow, Varanasi and Bahraich districts. The monsoon has now moved towards south western part of the state. Light to heavy rain is occurring in Bundelkhand and Vindhyachal regions. Jhansi has received moderate rainfall today. The shift of monsoon has given farmers needed time to complete the sowing process of Paddy and Pulses as too much of rain in the initial stage will destroy the pulses’ crop. The met office has predicted that the monsoon will become active again in the eastern region after a gap of about a week.
