Monsoon Session of Parliament will resume today after Proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament remained stalled for the first four consecutive day. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha witnessed uproarious scenes amid repeated adjournments as Congress continued to press for the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on Lalit Modi and Vyapam episodes. Both the Houses could not transact any significant business.

BJP MPs also protested in the Parliament House complex last week against the Congress-ruled state Chief Ministers and demanded the dismissal of Chief Ministers of Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh following corruption charges against them. BJP has said that Congress is responsible for the ongoing logjam in Parliament and from the day one, the government is ready for discussion on every issue but the opposition party is running away from it.
