Monsoon session of UP Assembly begins today

The monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh Assembly begins today. It is likely to continue till 13th of this month. Speaker of Assembly Sukhdev Rajbhar and Chairman of Legislative Council Ganesh Shanker Pandey yesterday held meetings of working advisory committee of the respective houses to discuss the agenda. AIR correspondent report that the bill for supplementary grants will be tabled in the Assembly on the 10th of this month. The government is also expected to introduce a bill to revive anticipatory bail provision under CrPC. Government may also bring separate bills for setting up 5 universities in private sector. All major political parties including ruling BSP, SP, Congress, BJP and Rashtriya Lok Dal held meetings of their legislative parties to discuss strategies during the session. Leader of the opposition in the Assembly Shivpal Singh Yadav held discussions with other opposition parties on different issues. Opposition parties have chalked out their strategies to attack the government on several issues especially on alleged deteriorating law and order situation and misuse of public money for non productive purposes besides false implication of political workers and leaders by ruling party in the house during the session.
