The Monsoon session of Parliament will commence from today. The session will continue till 11th of next month. Our correspondent reports, many important issues including terrorists attack on Amarnath Yatra and stand off with China in Doklam are likely to create stormy scenes inside both the Houses of Parliament. <br/><br/>On the first day of the session, proceedings are not likely in view of death of Lok Sabha sitting member Vinod Khanna and Rajya Sabha sitting members Anil Madhav Dave and Pallavi Reddy. However, all the members will cast their votes to elect a new President of the country. The current session is likely to discuss issues such as cow vigilantism, National Commission for Backward Classes, women reservation in parliament and impact of GST implementation . Some important new and old bills likely to come up in the monsoon session are <br/>GST related bills related to implementation of Goods and Services Tax in Jammu and Kashmir , The Banking Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2017 . The National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2017, The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016: The Whistle Blowers Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2015 , and the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2017 among others.<br/><br/>BJP has said that it is ready to discuss on all issues in the monsoon session of Parliament. Speaking at a panel discussion of All India Radio, yesterday, on Issues Before Parliament, BJP spokesperson Gopal Agrawal hoped that the legislative function will be smooth. <br/><br/>Tom Vaddakan of Congress said, his party ready for fruitful contribution in the session and anticipates similar response from the ruling party. During the discussion the opposition leaders, Mr Vaddakan, Prof Dinesh Varshney of CPI and MB Rajesh of CPI(M) raised the issues of terrorist attack on Amarnath Yatra, situation in Kashmir, mob lynching, unemployment and stand off with China in Doklam.
