The monsoon session of Parliament begins tomorrow. It is likely to continue for about six weeks. While the opposition has planned to raise issues of corruption and inflation forcefully, the government has decided to introduced 32 new bills. Lokpal Bill is to be introduced on Wednesday. The other important bills to come up include Land Acquisition Bill, Food Security Bill, the Benami Transactions Bill and the Mines and Minerals Bill.Ahead of the session, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal held a meeting with Chief Whips of political partis for having a smooth session. He said, governent is open for discussion on all issues on the floor of the House. Opposition is also planning to take up land acquisition, Telangana, rail accidents and Maoist violence. The Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar has convened an all party meeting this afternoon to seek political parties support in the smooth functioning of the Lok Sabha. The leader of the Lok Sabha and the Finance minister Pranab Mukherhjee are also having a meeting with the NDA leader L K Advani later in the day in this connection.
