Several parts of North India received rains as monsoon remained active in the region, with heavy to very heavy showers lashing South East part of Rajasthan.
Rajasthan, which was facing rainfall deficit of nearly 35 per cent till last month, is witnessing good rainfall for the last few days as heavy to very heavy rains lashed South East part
of the state.
Other parts of the state also witnessed moderate showers till this evening.
Moderate to heavy rains also lashed various parts of Himachal Pradesh.
The state capital Shimla recorded 25 mm rains.
The local MeT office has predicted rains or thunderstorm at many places during the next 72 hours and heavy rains at isolated places in lower and mid hills.
Parts of Jammu region were also lashed by rains this morning, however, people celebrated the I-Day function in
large numbers.
