Monsoon has finally arrived in Punjab giving much respite to people especially farmers. Parts of Doaba and Malwa region received about 50 mm rainfall since this morning. The State Capital Chandigarh recorded the maximum 118.5 mm rains today.Farmers who were tirelessly waiting for the Monsoon to transplant Paddy are the happiest lot. This rain is not only good for crops but also for mulching cattles.Level of Bhakra and Pong Dam have also increased as compared to last week.
