Monsoon makes initial mark in Goa with incessant rains

<span style="color: #222222;">Monsoon is quite active in Goa and incessant rains since morning has been affecting normal life. Monsoon has thus made an initial mark with heavy rainfall.<br />'' <br />'' Goa receives average of around 110 inches rainfall from June to September. Monsoon is active now in the state. Right from Pednem of North  to  Cancona at South received heavy spells of rain since morning. Forecast issued by  METEOROLOGICAL CENTRE, Panaji  states that light to moderate rain is very likely to affect many places over North & South Goa districts during next few hours. Fishermen are not advised to venture into the sea. There is news of felling of trees in the State. Water has been logged in low lying areas in the capital Panaji  city.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, farming activities have begun. The Agriculture Department of Goa has focused on organic as well as community farming and has come out with various schemes to help farmers. </span><br />
