South west monsoon on Monday kept its date with Kerala. It has set in over Kerala and Lakshadweep. <br/><br/>Most places in Kerala received heavy to very heavy rain due to the arrival of monsoon exactly as predicted. Vadakara in north Kerala received heavy rain of 16 cms.<br/><br/>The India Meteorological Department announced that the southwest monsoon has further advanced into most parts of south Arabian Sea, south Tamil Nadu and some more parts of southwest Bay of Bengal. <br/><br/>It said, the conditions were favourable for further advancement of monsoon into some parts of central Arabian Sea, coastal and south interior Karnataka and Goa during Tuesday and Wednesday.
