In most parts of western Maharashatra, monsoon rainfall has crossed the June month’s average. In Pune, light showers occurred throughout the day bringing typical monsoon weather. In Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur the rains have made the farmers happy. However, in Konkan region heavy rains have disrupted the normal life. <br/><br/>AIR Sindhudurg correspondent reports that one man has drowned and many houses have collapsed. The district administration is all set to handle any eventuality. Flood monitoring has been done constantly in various districts. The catchments areas of various dams in western Maharashatra have received good rains.
