India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said the performance of the monsoon is good so far and brings good prospect for Kharif crops. Talking exclusively to AIR, Director General of IMD, L S Rathore said, even though the monsoon arrived a little late, but has covered the entire country. He said, monsoon is doing well and in July experienced above normal monsoon. Mr Rathore said, it will remain in active phase for the next few weeks.
