In Uttar Pradesh, the rain lashed several eastern districts this afternoon, giving much needed relief to the people, especially the farmers. Heavy to light rain has occurred in Lucknow, Ghazipur, Ballia and Gorakhpur districts.

Met office says that the monsoon is active over Lucknow and eastern UP. They say that mosoon may cover entire state during a couple of days. The agricultural experts say that the rain deficit can be compensated if the monsoon remains active for a few days.
