The much awaited monsoon has reached Lucknow. This gave big relief not only to common people from scorching heat of 40-45 degrees Celsius but also to farmers who were waiting to sow their Kharif crops specially paddy.Director Met Department Mr. J. P. Gupta told AIR correspondent that monsoon showers are being reported from parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh along with state capital Lucknow while very cloudy conditions are being observed in other parts of the state. He hoped that the entire state of Uttar Pradesh will be covered by monsoon rains in next 24 hours.
