Monsoon activity has intensified over most parts of northern India bringing down the mercury levels. The Met Department predicts rain and thundershowers to occur at many places in Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated heavy rains may occur over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. The national capital also witnessed light showers early in the morning and the sky will remain generally cloudy with few spells of heavy rain. The maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees.
