The Union Environment Ministry constituted Monitoring Committee today reviewed the control and containment of the avian influenza or Bird Flu situation. The Committee constituted for overseeing outbreak of H5N8 avian influenza has submitted its report.<br/><br/>An official release said, measures to control the spread of avian influenza in the affected zoos are in place. It said, the zoo is being screened regularly for any dead bird. Bio-security measures are being strictly enforced and a team of medical doctors visited and examined exposed employees of the zoo and medication was provided.
