Mongolia's General Election Committee says, a runoff will be held between the two leading candidates in the country's presidential election, as none won a majority in voting on Monday. Three candidates ran in the race to choose a successor to the incumbent President. The committee said Khaltmaa Battulga of the largest opposition Democratic Party won 38.1 percent of the vote, Miyeegombo Enkhbold of the governing Mongolian People's Party won 30.3 percent and Sainkhuu Ganbaatar of the opposition Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party finished with 30.2 percent. The committee said the top two contenders will face each other in the country's first runoff on the 9th of next month.<br/><br/>
