A special PMLA court in Mumbai today ordered two day Enforcement Directorate custody to Senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal who was arrested by ED yesterday night in connection with its Money laundering cases. The ED counsel demanded Bhujbal's custody stating that Bhujbal did not cooperate Ed officials yesterday during a day long questioning. <br/><br/>Both the Houses of Maharashtra Legislature today witnessed chaos with opposition Congress and NCP members protesting against the arrest of former Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal. While the Legislative Assembly was adjourned four times and the opposition members walked out of the house, the Council was adjourned for the day following ruckus over the issue. In the Assembly, opposition members started shouting slogans condemning the arrest of the senior NCP leader. Rejecting the opposition charge, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the House that the ED had acted only after concrete proof and that the state government has nothing to do with it. Slamming the opposition leaders the CM stated that the government will not help those seeking to suppress scams. He also stated that it is unfortunate that discussion to discussion on Bhujbal's arrest, instead of centering on drought situation, should be on this issue. Meanwhile, Bhujbal's arrest has had repercussions across the state. Many Supporters indulged in protests and 'rasta roko. The supporters also held protest at some areas in Mumbai Navi Mumbai, Thane. <br/><br/>Supporters of NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal blocked the busy Mumbai-Agra National Highway in Nashik district and staged a protest against their leader's arrest even as several commercial establishments remained closed in some areas in the Nasik city. A band was called at Bhujbal's constituency Yeola, Nandgaon, Vinchur and Lasalgaon in Nasik district.
