Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has expressed his inability to appear before the ED on the summons issued by the agency in connection with the money laundering case.<br />''<br />''In a reply to the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) , Deshmukh said said that the summons have been issued solely within an aim to create a prejudice so as to either serve the media or sensationalize the matter before the supreme court by alleging purported non compliance there of by him. He said that he expresses his grave dismay, shock and concern especially to the timing of the issuance thereof.<br />''<br />''He said that he is committed to the rule of law and would  not shy away from joining any enquiry or investigations which is not only fair and just but also manifestly appear to be so.<br />''<br />''He reiterated that he would record his statement through any audio/video electronic mode. He said that he shall abide by the orders of the courts of law and would submit himself to any appropriate direction or order that may be passed by the courts in due course of law.<br />''<br />''Anil Deshmukh's lawyer Inderpal Singh reached the ED office to submit his response to the summons. He said the former minister is currently in Delhi.<br />
