Moily suggests formulation of special law to power centre in dealing with terror attacks

Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily has suggested formulation of a special law to give Centre the power to intervene in investigations dealing with terror attacks. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today Mr Moily said that the pace of such investigations is hampered due to lack of coordination between the state and the centre since law and order is a state subject. Reiterating the government's policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism he said that there is need to evolve our system of law to counter terrorism. The minister added that human rights of victims need to be given more priority instead of the perpetrators of terror attacks.
