Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, M Veerappa Moily says, the government has not taken a decision to shut petrol pumps at night. He told reporters in New Delhi that the idea came from public and the government had not made any such proposal.AIR Correspondent reports the Ministry plans to launch a massive fuel conservation drive from 16th of this month to cut fuel demand by 3 per cent and save an estimated 16,000 crore rupees in forex outgo.Mr Moily said, before the launch of the campaign, several proposals to cut fuel consumptions, have come to the government and as per usual practice, are being mulled over by the Ministry.
