Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily on Friday discussed with CBI Director A.P. Singh the possibility of reinvestigating the Aarushi Talwar Murder case. The move comes two days after CBI filed a closure report in a Ghaziabad court in the case on the ground there is no available evidence at the crime scene to pursue the probe. He told reporters in New Delhi after the meeting with the CBI Director that the question is whether it is a fit case of closure or further progress can be made in the matter. Asked about the legal options now before the CBI in the light of its filing of the closure report he said that the legal parameters for the case came up for discussion during his meeting with the CBI Director. Moily defended the CBI investigation into the matter and said that nobody can question the way the agency probed it. The teenage school student Aarushi was found murdered in her house in May, 2008.
