<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan has said that during the recent Lok Sabha elections there had been not just Modi wave, but a Modi Tsunami that swept away all caste and religious considerations.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Paswan reviewed the functioning of the Regional Office of Food Corporation of India in Chennai today. Later, talking to the press, he said the Union Government under Mr Modi has taken the resolve to work for all to ensure 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas'.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister asked the Opposition, who blamed the Electronic Voting Machines for their electoral debacle, to explain their show in the southern states including Tamil Nadu. He promised that all the poor irrespective of their social background will be given housing with toilets, electricity and LPG gas connections by 2022.<br />'' <br />'' When asked about the supply of food grains to states, Mr. Paswan clarified that the Centre provides food grains based on the criteria worked out by the NITI Ayog and under the National Food Security Act. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, if the states want to distribute more food grains they procure them from any other source including the open market. He rejected the reports of foodgrains procured by FCI getting exposed to the vagaries of nature by storing in the open ground, saying FCI has sufficient capacity of covered storage facilities.</span>
