Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today launched a scathing attack on External Affairs Minister Salman Khursid for denigrating the Election Commission of India and even the Supreme Court in a speech in London recently. He held Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh responsible for failing to rein in his minister.
He accused the Congress party of a 'breach of trust' with the people of the country. Addressing a rally at the Ainthapali in Sambalpur district of Odisha, Modi said the Congress party has promised to bring down prices within 100 days of coming to power during campaigning for the 2009 general elections. He said, the Congress led UPA government has failed to rein in prices even after five years.
Modi also lambasted the Congress party for pushing through a series of legislation including the Food Security Act with the elections in mind.
