Modi hits back at Priyanka for her comments alleging him for indulging in low level politics

BJP leader Narendra Modi today alleged in a series of tweets that some people cannot see that it is due to the renunciation, sacrifice and hard work of people of backward classes that the country has reached the present position.

He raked up his backward class status to mount an attack on Priyanka Gandhi who had yesterday hit out at Modi saying he had insulted his father on Amethi's soil and accused the Gujarat chief minister of practicing 'low level politics.

Addressing a rally in Amethi, Modi had accused Congress of practicing politics of arrogance and said Rajiv Gandhi, when he was Congress General Secretary, had once publicly abused and humiliated the then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister T Anjaiah at the airport. He said his low level politics will wipe out tears of thousands of people and free India of 60 years of, what he called, mis-governance and vote bank politics.

Addressing a rally in Domariyaganj in Uttar Pradesh today, Narendra Modi without naming Priyanka Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi, said that as he belonged to a socially backward class, they consider his politics to be of low level.

He said both Hindus and Muslims are stricken by poverty alike and they need to come forward to fight the evil of poverty, instead of fighting among themselves. Modi said that he is not there to make lofty promises to the people but is interested in solving the basic problems like electricity, potable water and daily matters of survival of the commoners.
