Modi Govt promoting industrial growth in India in spirit of cooperative federalism says MEA Secy TS Tirumurty

Ministry of External Affairs Economic Relations Secretary TS Tirumurty has said, the Narendra Modi Government is promoting industrial growth in all the states in India in the spirit of cooperative federalism. The Ministry, along with the state Government of Tamil Nadu, organised a Diplomatic Outreach Programme to showcase the state as an attractive investment destination among foreign diplomats.

In his address, Mr Tirumurty said, Tamil Nadu is a vibrant state that is traditionally leading in manufacturing sector. The state Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy inaugurated three major industrial units established by Korean, Japanese and the US firms worth 1254 crore rupees.

In his address, Mr Palaniswamy said the state has one of the best industrial climates and a vast pool of talented manpower. He asked the diplomatic community to facilitate more investments. Diplomats from 38 countries including the US, Japan, South Korea, France and Austria participated in the event. They will be visiting heritage monuments at Mamallapuram and a few industrial parks close to Chennai tomorrow.
