Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur has said that the Central Government is working continuously to promote sports in the country. Interacting with media in Jaipur this evening, Mr. Thakur said that if State Sports federations, National Sports Federations, State Governments, universities and the corporate world work together, better results will come in sports. The Union Minister said that the universities of the world have contributed a lot in winning the Olympic medals. If universities in our country choose some sports and players come out from there, then sports will get a boost. Mr. Thakur said that states have been asked to promote all sports but give priority to three sports.

The Union Minister said that through 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', citizens of the country are getting information about freedom fighters who took part in the freedom movement
