Modi files nomination papers for Varanasi LS seat after roadshow

BJP leader Narendra Modi filed his nomination papers for Varanasi Lok Sabha seat today.

AIR Correspondent reports that Narendra Modi reached the District Election Office along with senior party leaders.

Before filing his nomination Modi had a road show which started from Kashi Vidya Peeth gate of BHU, after garlanding the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya.

He was accompanied by senior party leaders Amit Shah, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, President of Party`s state unit Laxmi Shankar Vajpayee and Apana Dal leader Anupriya Patel in an open truck.

Modi is also contesting from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat in Gujarat. Aam Admi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal filed his nomination papers yesterday. Congress nominee MLA Ajay Rai and Samajwadi Party candidate Kailash Chaurasia have already filed their papers.
