<br/>Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has reached SIT office in Gandhinagar to appear before the Special Investigation Team probing 2002 riot cases in the State. <br/><br/>Mr. Modi was summoned to appear before the probe panel following allegations by Zakia Jaffery, widow of former MP Ehsan Jaffery, killed in the Gulburg Society riots. The former MP was killed along with 69 others by a mob at Gulburg society in February 2002. <br/><br/>The widow of the Congress leader had alleged that there was a "deliberate and intentional failure" of the state government to protect the life and property of innocents during the Gujarat riots.
