Moderate to Heavy polling is reported in the sixth phase of polling to 117 Lok Sabha constituencies across 11 states and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Polling has been by and large peaceful barring a few stray incidents of violence with one policeman killed in Assam and 13 others injured in other states.

By 5 PM polling percentage was 80 percent in 6 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal, 70 percent for all the 39 seats in Tamilnadu and also the same turn out in 6 seats in Assam, 5 seats in Rajasthan and in 7 seats in Chhattishgarh.

It was 60 percent in 10 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 56 percent in 12 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 55 percent in 7 seats in Bihar and 63 percent for 4 seats in Jharkhand. It was 80 percent in the lone seat in Puducherry.

Maharashtra reported low percentage of polling in 19 constituencies and it was 36 percent till 3PM. In Jammu and Kashmir low polling was reported in Annatnaag Parliamentary constituency.
