A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.4 intensity today shook many parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana at about 8 am today. According to the MET department, the epicentre of the quake was Doda in Jammu and Kashmir region. No loss of life or property has been reported so far from any region.
Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, a cloud burst last night in Mayar Valley of Lahaul-Spiti has caused damage in the area.
