The Election Commission has issued notice to Aam Aadmi Party, leader Arvind Kejriwal for violating the Model Code of Conduct by appealing to Muslims on religious lines. The notice had been issued on a complaint filed by Harish Khurana.

The Commission found that distributing the pamphlet by Kejriwal during the campaign at various parts of Delhi was prima facie violation of the Model Code, which prohibits seeking votes on caste and communal lines. He has been asked to file his reply by 25th of this month.
