The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will launch Mobile Number Portability service in New Delhi this evening. The service will allow mobile subscribers to change his service provider without changing the number. This will give rise to genuine competition, leading to an improvement in the quality of service of telecom companies. Mobile Number Portability service was launched in Haryana last November. AIR correspondent reports with the launch the portability will be available through out the country.
