The Mobile Number Portability (MNP), which allows a mobile subscriber to change his service provider without changing his number, will come into force across the country from 20th of this month. A notification to this effect was issued by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The MNP has already come into force in Haryana in November last year.
