Mobile courts will be soon introduced in Panchayats, specially in Naxal-affected areas. This will help dispose of cases within six months. This was stated by Union Minister for Law and Justice Veerappa Moily in Agartala on Saturday.Inaugurating a new High Court building there, he said mobile courts in Naxalite-infested areas will also instill confidence among the common people. He said , the courts will function like gramin nyayalayas and there will be one mobile court for five or six panchayats. Every panchayat will be sanctioned upto Rs. 18 lakh for construction of a court building.Moily said though Indian Judiciary is independent and one of the best in the world, it needs reforms to deliver faster with the help of modern technology. He said no case should be pending for more than three years.Moily disclosed that the Judicial Standard and Accountability Bill will be placed in parliament next month to make judiciary more transparent.
