Eleven workers of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) were Monday arrested in Mumbai for allegedly trying to extort 27 lakh Rupees from a film unit for using foreigners in a movie instead of locals.<br/><br/>Deputy Police Commissioner K Prasanna said the 11 workers barged into the sets of the film being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani at Mehboob Studios in suburban Bandra last evening demanding that locals be given priority over foreign artists during shoots.<br/><br/>Prasanna said the film unit told workers that since set for the location of Istanbul was created for shooting there was a need to use foreigners.<br/><br/>The unit assured them that locals will be used as and when required. However, the workers did not agree with the unit and tried to extort a sum of 27 lakh Rupees for not using the locals during the shooting.<br/><br/>The arrested MNS workers will be produced in a local court later today.<br/>
