In Punjab,8 lakh 75 thousand job card holders will get employment under MNREGA. 47 crore rupees have been spent under this scheme this year so far to provide jobs to the rural people.A spokesman of the state government said in Chandigarh that 60 percent target fixed for this year under this scheme has been achieved.Officers have been asked to achieve the target . Government have also decided to start new projects for the development of villages under this scheme.
