MLA Debendra Nath Ray found dead in West Bengal's North Dinajpur; BJP President condemns Mamata govt

<span style="color: #222222;">In West Bengal,  the dead body of  BJP MLA of Hemtabad Devendra Nath Roy was found hanging at Belia in North Dinajpur District this morning. According to an eye witness report, his body was found near a tea shop in the area.  Roy was elected in the State Assembly in 2016 as left nominee and he joined BJP after Lok Sabha elections in 2019.<br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent reports that the family of the MLA has alleged the death as murder. The District Committee of BJP has called for a 12-hour bandh in the district in protest against the alleged killing . The West Bengal Governor Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar has also demanded the State Government to initiate a thorough probe over the incident.<br />''<br />''Bharatiya Janata Party President J P Nadda has condemned the Mamata Banerjee Government for the death of its MLA in West Bengal. Mr Nadda said, the suspected heinous killing of Debendra Nath Ray is extremely shocking.<br />''<br />''Mr Nadda said, this is deplorable and speaks of the Gunda Raj and failure of law and order in the present government in West Bengal. Mr Nadda said, people will not forgive such a government in the future.</span><br />
