<span style="color: #222222;">In Mizoram, the week-long "Winter Festival" was set into motion today at Assam Rifles Ground – Lammual – in the heart of Aizawl city. The festival was inaugurated by Tourism Minister Lalrinpuii.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Pi Lalrinpuii said that the new ZPM Government will focus on promoting tourism as a source of income generation and livelihood. She said that the new Government would emphasize "Community-based Tourism".</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Pi Lalrinpuii, the first woman Cabinet Minister in the State further said that training would be provided to service providers and the youth to boost the tourism sector in Mizoram.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The festival will witness the showcasing of talents and the promotion of various local products for higher income generation. Various exhibition stalls have been put up for visitors. Besides the Food Court, there is a 'Kid's Play Zone' to attract the children and their families. Well-known singers across the State will be lining up in the evening to showcase their prowess and entertain the public.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The festival will go on till the 16th of December.</span><br />
