President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will award degrees to the students of the Mizoram University in Aizawl in its 6th Convocation on 24th of this month. The function, to be held in the University campus, will start at 10 in the morning. About 400 students will get their degrees from the her. Talking to All India Radio, Mizoram University Registrar Benjamin said a helipad is being constructed in the Mizoram University campus for the President's arrival. The main function will be held in multipurpose hall in the university campus. He also said that after the one-day visit of Aizawl, the President is scheduled to go to Tripura to attend another central university. The Mizoram University is conducting regular convocations since 2006.
