The Mizoram government has decided to resume the repatriation of Bru refugees lodged in six relief camps in Tripura from the 12th of January. A meeting held between the district administration of Mamit district on the Mizoram -Tripura border has decided on preparations for the return of around 1,000 Bru families to be resettled in the district. The Mizoram Bru Displaced People's Forum leaders has welcomed the state government's proposal for repatriation of Bru refugees but insisted on a written agreement.
