Mizoram has set up a control room in the state Legislative Assembly secretariat to facilitate a quicker interface between MPs, MLAs and the general public for emergency assistance in the fight against COVID-19.<br />'' <br />'' This was announced  by the Assembly Speaker Lalrinliana Sailo at a meeting with MLAs in Aizawl today.<br />'' <br />'' The control room has been set up on the advise of the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla who  had spoken about this measure during a video conference with Presiding Officers of State Legislatures on 21st April.<br />'' <br />''The speaker Mr Sailo applauded the role of NGO's and Churches in the fight against COVID19 and appreciated the cooperation shown by the general public in adhering to the lockdown guidelines. The MLAs have reiterated their commitment to do their best in helping the people all through the difficult time.<br />
