Mizoram has received a RT-PCR testing mobile van, I-Lab. The State Health Minister Dr. R Lalthangliana on Saturday inspected all facilities of the Mobile I- Lab Van at Lengpui near Aizawl. He said the mobile Laboratory, worth 1.05 crore rupees, is the first of its kind in the North East region.<br />'' <br />''Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh on 20th January launched this mobile testing facility for the Northeast region with Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga joining the ceremony online.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The I-Lab is the first-ever Mobile Diagnostic Laboratory capable of doing both RT-PCR and ELISA tests. Officials said that it has a bio-safety facility and it can also be utilized for testing other infectious diseases like TB, HIV making it relevant even in the post-Covid period. </span>
