In Mizoram, polling for 478 Village Councils and 81 Local Councils elections concluded this evening. As per the provisional reports, 65 to 70 per cent polling has been reported from across the state. The counting of votes started immediately after the conclusion of voting. The State election Commission had made elaborate arrangements to ensure peaceful, free and fair elections. The term of existing Village Councils and Local Council is expiring on 27th February, 2012.
